ATR has designed and implemented effective data collection tools to monitor and analyze audienceship and examine the sociocultural impacts of different communication campaigns on the population. ATR also monitors media, including television, radio, print and social media.
Key projects in Afghanistan include:
- A survey assessing perceptions of the justice system to help design appropriate strategic communications programs for Moby Group and the UNDP.
- Research on television market gaps among urban and rural Pashtuns in Kabul, Kandahar and Nangarhar for the BBC.
- Audience ratings via phone surveys for numerous television shows, including “Human Rights Defenders”, “Valley of the Wolves” and “Afghan Star”.
