ATR assesses existing skills and opportunities in the labor market to help organizations to tailor trainings and other interventions. Special consideration is given to nontraditional, emerging sectors as well as the effects that age, gender and displacement have on the labor market.
Recent projects include:
- An expansive study for Mercy Corps featuring assessments at the systems and provincial levels. The provincial-level assessment, carried out with partners, covered fourteen provinces (Bamyan, Badakshan, Balkh, Takhar, Logar, Samangan, Khost, Kandahar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Helmand, Parwan, Kabul and Kunar).
- A follow-up survey for IOM targeting two additional provinces (Baghlan and Herat).
- An assessment for War Child Canada focused on identifying small business and job opportunities for female IDPs in Erbil and Kirkuk, Iraq.
